Moriche Bag

This small sculptural bag was made in collaboration with the Moriche Indigenous Community of the Orinoco region of Colombia, near the border with Venezuela. The artisans of this community learned to crochet from European missionaries, and their basketry evolved into a unique mix of wicker and crochet using natural fibers.

This bag fits a large phone and any other essentials of similar size. It makes for a lovely addition to any summer outfit.
