Mola Sasa’s iconic textiles take on a new shape with these exclusive shirts made in collaboration with La Veste. Originally inspired by vintage school shirts, the collar and back flap details are handmade by the Guna Dule community of Caimán Alto with their unique reverse appliqué technique of hand sewing cut layers of fabric. The detailed textiles are originally used by the Guna Dule as apparel textiles worn as part of their traditional outfit. With this exclusive collaboration, we are helping to support, preserve and encourage the ancient Guna Dule’s artisanal traditions.

Mola Sasa x La Veste jackets are handmade between Colombia and Spain in collaboration with the Guna Dule community of Caiman Alto.
Originally inspired by a vintage quilted patchwork jacket, each style has a total of 112 squares of hand sewn fabrics that were carefully combined to create something different and out of this world. The Kuna textiles, commonly known as “molas,” translate to “clothes” in the Guna Dule’s language, and are originally apparel textiles that are still worn by the artisan women of the community as part of their traditional blouse. With this exclusive collaboration we are helping support, preserve and encourage the ancient Guna Dule’s artisanal traditions.
