Our statement Maguey Hoops are hand-crafted in Colombia combining two different artisanal techniques and natural fibers. The large yet leightweight wooden hoops are individually hand-wrapped with Maguey (agave plant) fiber by the Kankuamo indigenous community while the body is made from a Caña Flecha hand-woven thread by the Zenu artisans community and finished with a lustrous wooden and gold studs.

Because there is no such thing as too much color, we have designed new hand woven straps to pair with your favourite bag to refresh any existing silhouette. Resistant yet soft, the straps are hand made by the Wayu indigenous community from La Guajira, the most northeastern part of Colombia, bordering Venezuela. They are finished with leather and gold-toned metal buckles.

Geometric abstraction and contrasting colors defined Sonia Delaunay's work and were our source of inspiration for this collection.
This design is a representation and reinterpretation of a motif found in many of Sonia Delaunay's iconic artworks. Named Totem, it honors the artist while juxtaposing on the two sides of the top textiles a traditional Guna Dule pattern found repeatedly in their textiles.

For generations, the women have passed down their idiosyncratic craft of hand sewing cut out layers of fabric to form rich intricate patterns and designs. Wicklewood X Mola Sasa is a collaboration which celebrates a kindred aesthetic - vivid colour, vibrant motifs, impeccable finishing and aligned philosophies - preserving artisan traditions, sourcing sustainable materials and working with local female artisans to empower women.
