EL SOL Y LA LUNA or “Looking to the Sky” Collection
In AW19 we continue to look to the sky for inspiration. This new collection draws symbols from the shades of day and night and combines them together with abstract patterns from our previous collection. It seeks to maintain continuity while creating a more autumnal or wintery feel; all together as the perfect addition to a fun, yet sophisticated outfit for the contemporary woman.
Flashes of light or color as geometric expressions or Suns and Moons play between the abstract and the figurative. The mixture of more voluptuous fabrics like Velvet or Drill with lighter ones like Satin and Cotton Poplin bring a new texture to our Iconic Kuna fabrics. As with every season this collection features our signature Kuna Envelope Clutches but with new and updated finishings such as a delicately thin detachable strap in soft patent Napa leather long enough to carry as cross body. The also signature Kuna Bangles come with a gold plated metallic tip that makes them bold and sculptural. The Cylinder Bag gets a review so it is wider and more organic feeling and practical yet elegant to wear with it’s long thin strap any time of the day. Lastly, AW19 comes with a fun play of handmade gold plated 24k earrings representing suns and moons in many shapes to mix and match that adds a refined and distinctive touch to the collection.
