Smaller, thiner and lighter, the hoops of the earrings have been hand-woven with Maguey (agave plant) fibers by the Kankuamo women of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. They dangle from caña flecha woven threads finished with a gold-toned bar and are anchored by lustrous gold studs.
