For this limited edition capsule collection of clutches we integrate the work of two local Colombian communities. The Guna Dule indigenous community of Caiman Alto and the Kankuamo indigenous community of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta which have tie-dyed textiles for the first time as part of this new collection.
Large enough to exhibit the richness of the Kuna textiles, our signature clutch/crossbody bag is perfect for everyday use yet not too big to be used in the evenings. It fits large phones & wallets, and even an iPad mini and comes with a detachable leather strap.

As part of our ongoing design lab, we have been working with this community to translate their traditional dyeing technique from the fique fiber to textiles with the help of Indira Mendiola, one of the community leaders.
The Kuna Textile Was Handsewn By Artisan Women Of The Guna Dule Community Of Caimán Alto, Colombia. For Generations, The Artisan Women Have Passed Down An Ancient Appliqué Technique Of Hand Sewing Cut-Out Layers Of Fabric To Form An Intricate Piece Of Art. Each Fabric Is The Unique Design Of The Artisan Woman Who Carefully Crafted It. In The Guna Culture, Beliefs And Traditions Can Be Found Woven Into Each Composition. Some Depict Stories, Animals Or Daily Scenes While Others Portray A More Abstract Design
